Our Red Oak 2 row Goldilocks Peg Loom Kit features our favorite wood species, oak, known for its strength and durability. As a readily available hardwood in the Midwest, it was a top choice for building barns decades ago. Today, we continue to reclaim oak (both white and red) and feature it frequently in our inventory. These woods have stunning natural character and each board is very unique!
Please note that 'red oak' actually encompasses a number of different species of oaks, and not all of them have a red hue to their lumber. If you want a truly red-hued board, I would suggest a cherry instead!
Our Oak 2 Row Goldilocks Peg Loom is an absolute beauty! Featuring 2 rows of pegs but including all three of our peg sizes, the 36" loom offers the great flexibility. Featuring a full 36" of the mama pegs, 18" of both baby and papa pegs.
Includes:
- pre-drilled loom in our distinctive shape
- a full set of pegs, plus 2 extra pegs
- sanding paper
- threading tool
- instruction sheet
Each board is unique and different. Photos are of loom 25-278 and show the exact loom you will receive.
This loom feature our NEW pegs! This style of pegs will be ongoing with all looms in the foreseeable future. ** We WILL have a video posted soon about the new pegs, and how we use them!
As a final touch in creation, we add mineral oil to oil each board, which brings out all of the natural beauty hidden in the board. If you ever feel the need to spruce up your board, mineral oil is an affordable and easily accessible option that works wonders!

Good to the last drop
We strive to use every piece of every board we get into our shop. This means not only do we sometimes have looms of non-standard sizing, but we also use the cut off pieces to create our tapestry looms, niddy noddys, and more.
