This Oak Peg Loom features our favorite wood species, oak, known for its strength and durability. As a readily available hardwood in the Midwest, it was a top choice for building barns decades ago. Today, we continue to reclaim oak (both white and red) and feature it frequently in our inventory. These woods have stunning natural character and each board is very unique!
TIGER oak specifically refers to a type of patterning that is revealed when the wood is milled a certain way. Tiger oak used to be incredibly common (and seen in lots of old furniture), but has fallen out of favor in the lumber business as it creates a greater amount of 'waste.' So when we find it, we throw a small party!
Our OG Peg Loom is an absolute beauty! Featuring a single row of our standard peg size, this loom offers multiple options for small and large project needs. These pegs are perfect for roving, locks, and fabric strips. Easily make rugs and smaller projects, and set the loom across your armchair for easy relaxed weaving!
