Hardwood Swift

Swifts have long been used by fiber crafters to measure yarn, wind yarn off a spinning wheel, or to hold skeins that are then wound into balls for use. Our "windmill" style swifts break down for easy storage in our handy swift bags, found HERE.

Each swift is different, sometimes each side is a different wood, sometimes they are the same, but all are hardwoods and may include white oak, red oak, black walnut, cherry, ash, and hickory.
